The Biotechnology Society of Nigeria (BSN) was established with the aim of Promoting cooperation on Biotechnological advancement in Nigeria and the Internationational Community, Promote discussion on all aspects of Biotechnological development withing the Research institutes, Universities, Government Agencies, Industries and Related Orgarnisations.

It is our aim to also encourage the exchange of ideas among scientists of different disciplines on the conept and application of Biotechnology through meetings such as Conferences, symposia, workshops, exhibitions and publications

DOCUMENT SUBMISSION


Abstract submission

Kindly click the registration portal, fill the form and make a registration payment. Please use the payment information provided here. Scan a copy of the payment teller and upload on the registration portal. You will then receive the email confirmation of the payment. Afterward, you proceed to abstract submission. Click the abstract submission portal to register and upload the abstract (only MS office format is acceptable).

The abstract must be 250 words typed in Microsoft Word Times New Romans, font size 12, and in good English. It should contain the title, author(s) and affiliation(s), full address and e-mails. Five keywords should also be provided. The Abstract should be structured into sections including background, materials and methods, results and conclusion. The email address of the corresponding author (identified by placing an asterisk by the surname) should also be indicated. The abstracts should be submitted not later than May 31st, 2019.

Poster Presentation

Authors submitting posters should download the BSN-IITA ’19 Poster Template and use for the preparation of their posters. Posters not conforming to the standard template will be rejected.

Article

The full articles that have been accepted for publication after the standard peer-review process and presented during the conference will be published in the Nigerian Journal of Biotechnology.

The article must be well arranged. The first page of the manuscript should contain the title, the name(s) of the author(s) in full, their affiliation(s), full address and e-mail of corresponding Author and full text of the Abstract (250 words). The text should be typed in Times New Romans, font size 12; organized into the following sub-sections in bold lower-case letters: Introduction, Materials and Methods, Results, Discussion, Conclusion, Acknowledgements, and References. Please use the Harvard style for your references. Manuscripts that do not conform to the recommended format, deadline and conference payment will not be accepted. The full articles should be submitted not later than May 31st, 2019.
